Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition for 2017 - 2018
Kindergarten through fourth grade: $15,550
Fifth through eighth grade: $17,550
Westside School offers need-based Tuition Assistance to families of students in kindergarten through eighth grade. A portion of every tuition dollar supports our Tuition Assistance Fund, which is further supplemented through fundraising.
Families who apply for Tuition Assistance should know eligibility and award decisions are made independently of admission decisions. There are many factors involved in a family’s decision to apply for Tuition Assistance, and both the family and the school have much to consider in both the process and the determination of eligibility.
Applying for Tuition Assistance
As a member of NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools), Westside School uses School and Student Services (SSS) to gather the information necessary for determining Tuition Assistance eligibility. To fill out an application for Tuition Assistance and learn more about the process, visit the SSS by NAIS for Families website. The code for Westside School is 1796
For new families, award determinations are historically communicated along with enrollment invitations. The deadline for new families to apply for Tuition Assistance for the 2017 - 2018 academic year is February 2, 2017. Tuition Assistance is not available for students entering pre-kindergarten. If you have questions please contact Business and Operations Manager, Laura Anderson.
We do our best to communicate the Tuition Assistance award at the time re-enrollment contracts are due. If you are a current family applying for Tuition Assistance for the first time, please let the Business Office know before re-enrollment contracts are distributed. Returning families must re-apply for Tuition Assistance every school year. As both the school’s and a family’s financial status may change from year to year, an award one year does not guarantee the same award the following year. The deadline for returning families to apply for Tuition Assistance for 2017 - 2018 is February 2, 2017. Please note missing this deadline may result in non-renewal of a Tuition Assistance award. If you have questions, please contact Laura Anderson.
Sudden Financial Hardship: Please reach out to the Business Office if you are experiencing financial hardship. There are limited emergency Tuition Assistance funds available for qualified families.
