Ellen, from the fourth grade, has taken on the role of big sister, patiently guiding and teaching the younger kids. Kindergartener Jocelyn, first grader Aisha, and third grader Angelina, full of energy and smiles, are eagerly ready to constantly take on new jump rope challenges such as ‘single foot’, ‘spinning’, and, their favorite, ‘closed-eyes’ jumping. This new exciting fad has also drawn the attention of young boys - Henry, Connor, Will, and Sam of the Kindergarten class. These four boys, along with others, have brought their strong competitive spirits and positive encouragement to long intense matches of double dutch. You can also see Kindergarteners Olive and Olivia, sitting in the sun on the warm concrete demonstrating their young artistic prowess through chalking out detailed designs and colorful portraits of the older kids. And it will not come as a surprise to see third graders, Darien and Austin, playfully tossing the football around, or to find fifth graders, Spencer and Dylan, joking around while shooting hoops. With the coming of spring we look forward to even more fun activities and experiences for the kids. As just a reminder, pick up time is at 5:45PM, while additional charges of two dollars every minute will be added to your monthly bill for children staying past 6:00PM. We also encourage online drop-in sign-ups to be done before 12:00PM of that day. Thank you. Interim Business ManagerThe Westside School has engaged Catherine Lanham as an interim Business Manager.
