Don’t forget to fill out your auction donation forms and turn them in to Kathy in the office. We’re asking each family to donate at least one item. Extra procurement forms are available out in the hallway – or online. Please turn them in by the end of January.
Childcare for January 29, February 8 and 9th
Childcare for January 29, and February 8 and 9th is open to all families starting today. There are only a few spots still available, so if you are interested, please contact Kathy in the office.
On conference days, drop-in childcare is available and free of charge during your conference time only. Staffing this care is easier if we know how many children to expect; if you plan on using this service, please contact Kathy and let her know when you plan to use it.
Math Night Has Moved
Math Night has been moved to February 1. Please plan on only one parent attending per Westside student, no siblings. Math night is for grades PK – 5th grade.
Westside Admissions
Admissions is going amazingly well! We already have several applications in, and our tours and open houses have been filled with potential families. If you know of anyone interested in attending Westside next year, please have them call for an application packet, or invite them to attend our open house on January 27th, from 1-3pm. Applications for new students are due February 14. Do you have a sibling planning on attending next year? Your applications are also due on February 14!
Re-enrollment contracts will be mailed to current families on February 1; due March 1st with a $1000 deposit. Full-day students can apply for financial aid; packets are available in the office.
Online Survey
Every year we ask you to take a couple of minutes to participate in our annual Westside School Parent Survey. The online survey can be reached at this address: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=109853106510.
The survey is confidential and anonymous information, but it allows us to collect thoughts and opinions on how our program meets your expectations. You are asked what you like the most and what you like the least about your Westside experience. The survey provides year-to-year data and is part of our on-going efforts to recognize trends. Your feedback is useful as we plan for next year and beyond. Thank you for your participation.
Kindergarten Chess Has Moved to Friday
Kindergarten chess has moved from Tuesday to Friday, 2:45 - 4pm, starting tomorrow January 19th. Grades 1-5 will remain on Tuesday, from 3:15 - 4:30pm.
New Baby for Alexa
Alexa Boss, our Spanish teacher, had her baby on January 15th, a little boy named Liam Merwyn Boss weighing 9lbs, 5 oz. Congratulations, Alexa!
